vedatrace.New(cfg Config) (*Logger, error)

Creates a new logger that sends logs to the VedaTrace ingest API over HTTP. Returns an error if APIKey or Service is missing.

vedatrace.NewDev(service string) *Logger

Creates a console-only logger that writes to stderr. No API key required. Useful in development and testing.

logger.Debug(msg string, meta ...LogMetadata)

Logs a message at the debug level with optional metadata.

logger.Info(msg string, meta ...LogMetadata)

Logs a message at the info level with optional metadata.

logger.Warn(msg string, meta ...LogMetadata)

Logs a message at the warn level with optional metadata.

logger.Error(msg string, err error, meta ...LogMetadata)

Logs a message at the error level. The error value is captured as structured ErrorInfo (message + type). Pass nil if there is no error.

logger.Fatal(msg string, err error, meta ...LogMetadata)

Logs a message at the fatal level, flushes all pending logs synchronously, then panics. The error value includes a stack trace.

logger.Child(meta LogMetadata) *Logger

Returns a new *Logger that inherits the parent's config and merges meta into every log entry it emits. The parent logger is unaffected.

• meta (LogMetadata): Key/value pairs to attach to all entries from this child.

logger.Flush()

Blocks until all buffered log entries have been delivered to the transport. No-op when using console transport.

logger.Stop()

Flushes all pending logs and stops the background goroutine. The logger must not be used after Stop returns.

vedatrace.CaptureError(err error) *ErrorInfo

Builds an ErrorInfo from a Go error with the error message and type name. Returns nil if err is nil.

vedatrace.CaptureErrorWithStack(err error) *ErrorInfo

Same as CaptureError but also captures the current goroutine stack trace.
